I ended up with two by accident. Thought I lost one, ordered another and then a month later found the first one.

I've heard of people using a short/long system with two fifis in certain situations. I normally only use one.

When I was at the Bugaboos, there was a guy on the Kain route with a fifi hanging off his belay loop. Kain route is mostly scrambling with about 3 pitches of easy free climbing to the summit. I couldn't figure out what the fifi was for. Then again, he also brought an ice axe and crampons up a route with no ice or snow on it, so maybe just being Mr. Preparedforeverything.

Sometimes you just want something extra hanging off of you that snags on EVERYTHING. It's like a nut tool x 10.

This is the meager gear that my gf and I climb on . Yellow rope is a 35m shorty for the gym and TR on the small and easy walls, the other rope is 50m. Blue cord is 6m. Total cost is ~210k HUF/1067$/756€

Trad gear planned (and will be bought in october):
set of nuts, 4-5 cams, 10 60cm slings and a few more biners which will cost around another 200k

What only one headlamp?!? Where's the redundancy in that?

This is the rack you and your girlfriend use? I only see one belay device, does she use a munters? If not, that means one of you is always on the ground? Buy another belay device before you buy anything else! Summit pics are much easier to take if your both there! But then again do what works for you!

After 2 years of climbing, this is what I collected:

Not too many cams since I just started trad, and a silent partner included for my solo adventures. Probably buying a few more cams next season, and then start to save up for some big wall stuff, as I am planning to do that in couple of years.

Attached is an excel list of my rack. I use this for both trad an alpine. The list doesn't include harnesses, ropes and helmets.

You clicked a link to an unknown Excel file that was posted in a dead thread on a public internet forum?

Are you crazy or just live for high-risk adventure?

There is a guy on an xmpp server I use (actually I think he might be banned...) that would post .gif and .swf files. 50% NSFW, 50% NSFL. ~5% were both. Now THAT was a high risk adventure.

HAHA, I was just teasing Keith!

I hear all day long at work "DON'T CLICK THE LINK DON'T CLICK THE ATTACHED FILE" etc. I tell them, JUST CLICK ON THE DAMNED ZIP FILES, I DO IT ALL DAY LONG AND YOU DON'T SEE ME BEING HIJACKED" .....hey, this computer seems buggy....

Truthfully, I look at this rack picture thread as way to claim some insurance in case of rack theft. May it never happen and may all rack thieves rot in hell of course. I loaded mine in back on page 33 or so, and have a crapload more gear since then. 2 sets of Totems, more Valley Giants, a set of the new WC Heliums and all kinds of old trash swept up from Mt Project and Ebay etc etc. Like a Dolt brand pully. Who even needs such a thing?
