Even if it actually works with 60m of rope hanging underneath and the biner isnīt smashed to bits coming down why bother since you need the pull cord anway?

Haha, what a dumb idea, but I don't think the poster is really seriously suggesting it. I'd guess the chance that it works from 60m away as less than 50-50. And just wait to you see what kind tangles you get with 60m of tag line that thin! Moreover, that's a $21 carabiner with a very fancy autolock mechanism. Even if it doesn't smash into pieces as Jim says, how many drops is that complex locking collar gonna survive?
