Development is slowly encroaching but access is still easy. I live in the center of Phoenix and it took me 45 minutes to get there. The website directions combined with Google Earth are easy to follow. The boulders are ok for a quick day trip and a good fingertip shredding. There's some pocket tooling and chipped-in holds, along with natural holds that provide a decent bit of bouldering. The quality of the rock, which is a welded volcanic tuff much like Queen Creek area, is so-so, so watch out for breaking holds. Landings are sloped for the most part. Crash pad recommended for high problems. There's a ton of other stuff up the hill, so maybe some motivated climbers can develop this area a little more.
