Has anyone looked at the hitchhiker ascending system made by RopeTek? It is based on a friction hitch and allows you to switch between ascending and descending instantly. Its simple and it looks pretty bombproof, although at $160 its kinda pricey for what it is. I am building a set-up for climbing photography and wondered if anyone has any experience with this thing?
