Yup: Just returned from Paris: brand new in the store (I got to jump on some holds on the wall to make sure they fit) From the Sprotiva site, they say they retail for $124. Even with the Euro at a 3 year low, its nothing short of remarkable. Also got a pair of Spirits for $79E and get a 12 percent tax rebate on both those shoes as well, making them cheaper in dollars than the numbers listed in Euros. I'd checked out the spirits here while back, online they were $140, but no one in this town has a pair to try on. So I was going to get a pair of Mad Rocks. The 5.10s in the store were @$99 E. "FOCUS [order] Our new all-around, high performance climbing shoe focuses on sensitivity, edging and crack climbing performance all in an incredible new fit impeccably hand crafted in Italy. It features a 3mm Salpa midsole, a sweet heel cradling slingshot rand, and super sticky XSV rubber sole. The Focus holds on even the smallest edge, flexes well for friction and climbs cracks better then the rest of them. This extremely versatile shoe can either be fit comfortably for long gear routes or tight for sport climbing and gym use. The comfortable cotton canvas lining keeps stretch to a minimum and precision edging to the max. Built on the same last shape as the Mythos and designed to accommodate those climbers that have more of a symmetrical foot shape. Sending, training, or just plain cruising, the Focus is one tough shoe that can meet the demands of almost any terrain you can bring its way. Get your feet in Focus and watch it all come together.
