Frank, Here's why there aren't anymore break ins at T-Wall. http://server502.hypermart.net/seclimbers/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?s=3e47bde0144effff;act=ST;f=1;t=691 You can thank Kirk Brode at Rock Creek Outfitters and Keith Cox at the sheriff's department for getting the ball rolling and solving this. Oh yah, Kirk is having another trail day up there on March 15, but the Atlanta climbing club probably already knows. The Mine area at Queen Creek, AZ on Saturday. It was rainy in the morning but by the time I got out there it was really nice. We stayed sheltered from the wind and cold most of the time.

Echo Cliffs on Saturday -- perfect weather. New Jack City on Sunday -- a bit chilly, but good in the sun. We hit all the classics. -Jay

I climbed out at Cerro Romaldo (near San Luis Obispo). It is located on a military base, so we had to get permission to climb there, but it was well worth it. Turns out its a pretty well developed area with a good number of fun sport routes. PLENTY of poison oak though...

Saturday - Broke trail for two hours through a foot of fresh powder to climb the sorcerer, ghost river, AB Sunday - climbed tokkum pole in marble canyon, kootenay NP, BC. I have never been in this canyon before, totally gorgeous. 40 m deep and about 1-5m wide. My eyes were stunned by all the light as we exited the canyon at the end of the day.

"Dr Rubo's Wild Ride" near Sedona. Fun and sunny on Sunday. I'm glad we didn't try it on Saturday, it would have been cold and maybe wet.

Saturday - Red Rocks - The Gallery. Cool a.m. temps led to a warm, sunny afternoon. One of the more perfect winter days that I've ever experienced out there. Sunday - Red Rocks - Sunny & Steep. Perfect again. Warm sun and cool breeze, the best conditions for pullin' down. Miss ya, babe

Makapuu, Lighthouse point, Oahu, Hawaii. Overlooking the beach, the breeding whales, and plenty of bikinis. Oh, and I did some climbing, too. Jeremy

Dingus & others who climbed at Yosemite: How warm was it Saturday? We had planned a Saturday day-trip, but the National Weather Service web site predicted highs of 38 deg F at 5000'. The other sites predicted slightly warmer temps. Even at 38, the rock can warm up in the sun, but I expected the comfortable part of the day to be too short to be worth 7hrs of round-trip driving. Should I have gone anyway? Since I didn't go to Yosemite, I climbed at Mt Diablo Saturday. It was fun, but it isn't the Valley. The highlight was when my partner decided to rap off the north (back) side of Butt Rock. His rap rope stuck on the chockstone in the chimney (He pulled it that direction to avoid poison oak), so I got to solo the north chimney to free it. I had never climbed that chimney, although I've soloed the south one, Butt Crack (5.2?) many times.
