Getting ready to use my BD Cobras on some alpine routes for the first time in the next few weeks. I got them in December and have only used them on WI so far. Anybody else out there using these tools for alpine? They kick-ass on waterfalls, what do you think about them for alpine?

I've had mine for about three years now and they are arguably the best axes I've ever held. I've used them in the alpine a little bit (not because I use different axes I just haven't been in the alpine as much as I would like)

they preformed really well because I was able to plunge the shafts quite easily into the snow and just being really familiar with them helped too. kinda short for probling for cravasses though so you my want a longer skipole or something.

But all in all theyu preformed as well in the alpine as they did on the step WI's of the rockies.
