Hello...

I am an Indonesian climber. I have climbed for at least 4 years, but don't go in for any wall climbing competition yet. :(
Three weeks later, there is a competition in my area. I need some advices about anything what shuld i do to face up the competition.
(training programme, share your experiences, etc ) :P

climb as hard as you can. try to climb every boulder problem that is on the wall now. use a hang board 3 times a week, 5 sets of 5 secounds. and watch how other people climb the problem. try to climb in as many jyms as possable.

work on foot work as much as possable.

If it is a rope comp, I would train for endurance because a few weeks isn't enough time to build a dignificant amount of strength. DO LAPS! If it is a boulder comp, I would do bouldering circuts and lots of them.

Wall Climbing comp? Never heard of one...

Sounds trippy, but I think you should at least be able to do the nose in a day before you enter...

Thank you for all your advices. All your advices become my consideration for practice. ( >texas climber...........it's a rope comp. )

But there is one thing which i wanna ask....how about a rest time ? :lol:

Oh yeahh.... Indonesia is good and secure enough for climbing !! :D

just rest till the comp. you will do fine. JUST KIDDING!! climb as much as you can then when there is 2-3 days left till the comp rest and then climb in the comp. works wonders.
