I was just wondering what different ppl get out of sending a climb for the first time? not just F.A.'s but personal F.A's? Personally i get a sense of satisfaction, accomplishment, a willingness to push on to the next climb... what about u guys and gals? Scrad

Sometimes I just feel relief. Climbing is a compulsion and I have to satisfy it. Sometimes when I reach the top of one climb, I just want to get started on the next... AW

Hmmm... I was feeling a lot better until a buddy of mine at the gym pointed out that I use too much power when I climb and that my foot placement is sh!t. So now I am working on technique focusing on my feet. -Bryan

Inside it feels cool but outside making it up a difficult lead is unbelievable. Cant explain it you sometimes feel like you are goig to die and all of a sudden relief when you send it. total mind cleansing and blowing at the same time

the feeling of abandon, thinking of nothing else but the rock and the exhiliration of passing that number grade, the feeling of self-improvement... there's lots of stuff to be had from climbing, and certainly something that is neither least nor last is the great time you can have when you have cool climbing partners. Here's something interesting - I feel different after finishing, say, a 5.12 sport climb than after topping a multi-pitch tower at, say, 5.8.... I actually enjoy the tower better, it's all about the adventure I think, proving yourself and standing somewhere not everyone does. AW
