Just out of curiosity, does anyone have a preference on rope bags and have you heard anything on the Beal Combi? I want something to organize my gear AND carry a rope in to avoid hauling two bags. Got any suggestions? Any info you all could give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. JDean

Yep. Me too. One carries the rope, the other the rack (with trad) Alternate carrying the rope going to and from the crag for sport.

check out the DMM gypsy... the snaps for the carrying strap are cross threaded so you can carry either sling style or as backpack. also, its a little larger than any of the other bags... ...i carry a 70m., shoes, harness, and chalkbag in it and they all lived happily ever after.

Kelty Oragami backpack A full trad rack, 70m rope, harness +2 nalgene bottles will fit in one of these, and it has a tarp/rope back inside of it that works for a frame. Has PLENTY of gear loops on the wings. It has 4 wings and the rope goes in teh center. The wings fold up like oragami and close the backpack up Has a daisy, I think, on the outside for shoes, or whatever, and 2 water bottle holders, can't have a backpack without water bottle holders!!! Thanks for all the help guys. Hey Dustin, where can you get the Origami? I have looked around on the net but couldn't seem to come up with anything. I am thinking about getting a Vortex pack that does pretty much the same thing, but if the Kelty is cheaper, I may go with it. Thanks. JDean
