If I have a swim competition I must eat carbohydrates. What about climbing, I need more proteins before doing it?

That is easy... For breakfast - Red Bull, bacon and eggs (have to get rid of that hang over first) Lunch - Steak and Cheese pie mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Dinner - Steak and Beer. Keep to this strci diet and you will be climbing better in no time.......

Luna- you eat carbs before swimming because they give you energy fast. You also should eat protein in the weeks before you carbo load, but that gets left to the wayside sometimes. I was a US swimmer, thats what they had us do (I wasn't very good though). Anyways, for climbing, I've heard that protein is the best thing for you. Because your muscles get beat up when you climb, so the protein helps heal them. And that way if you lose weight from climbing (which if you swim you probably won't) you'll only lose fat and not muscle too.
