I've lived in Chico for the past three years now, i'm 17 now, and am getting back into climbing. I was wondering where all the good climbing places around Chico and Nor*Cal are. Has anyone been to the Castle Crags near Mt. Shasta, is that anygood? I like sport mostly, i'm about a 5.10/5.11-er.

Jonathan,
There is good cliimbing up the Feather River Canyon at Grizzly Dome. Castle Crags is good (though I have not been there myself), but a 3 mile hike approach. If you want more info on Grizzly Dome or Feather River areas, PM or email me. Also, Chico State climbing wall is a good place to get to know others in the area.
