Ok again a bit off topic but anyway. Lets say you just were to charge them for the gear that you use would you still be held liable if they die?

Boy Scout Troops are very odd. Some places you'll have great kids and great leaders while sometimes it seems the kids would be better off staying in a Holiday Inn. I've seen many troops do more damage to the environment then good (I'm an avid outdoorsman who enjoys climbing, but would be just as content on a decent hike). If you want to help these kids out (and their leader) I'd trade for some gear. X hours of my time is worth this much of your gear... I'm no lawyer, but this might get you around the insurrance issue. Anyway goodluck and have fun.

Make them donate money to a gay rights club as payment. I find it ironic that they hate gays but probably half their leaders are gay. This country is never going to get on the right track with respected groups like the BSA teaching discrimination.

greyghost has it right......if they are willing to publically distance themselves from homophobics within their ilk, then take them climbing!!!
