Okay,
After all of this talk about dating climbers or non climbers, I'm thinking there should be some kind of singles forum here or something. I'm single. I love to climb and I'd like to meet a great woman who climbs as well. Anyone out there agree with me? What's so bad about a blind date at the climbing gym? You ladies are hard to come by and hitting on woman at the gym just isn't my thing.

I agree with him. This site could use a "singles" profile or something like that. That way, people looking can see who is available as well in their area and "hook up". That's a terrific idea!

Looked at those links and it seems as if there was some support. Single women have hit the jackpot when it comes to climbing-the ratio of men to women is a little lop-sided. I guess I'm trying to find a needle in a hay-stack.

Whoa there!!!! I mean whew! that's an alwful lot of pressure. Picture it, you're a wimp climber like me killing yourself to send 5.9+ and she walks up and sends a 5.12,.13, .14. You're not going to look to attractive genetically and physically.

Also, I'm kind of serious at the gym. I don't like to take my eyes of my climber so there wouldn't be much communication going on. I would prefer another environment or just consider a wall a small part of the blind date.

Man, you don't have to hook up on the net. Just cruise outside, check your area. Go climbing all the time, that's where you meet climber girls. You gotta be what you want to attract. But beware, mutal interest in a sport does not always a harmonious relationship make. Especially such an immature, selfish sport as climbing.
