Went to the Wichita's for 5 days over spring break with Rock Star and Stubborn Stone. Busted the Narrows, Mount Scott and Post Oak falls. Building a fence this weekend in the rain & drizzle. Sucks to be me!

Besides the fact that it's only 16F outside right now (6PM), The snow would make any of the places I know of (besides the gym) difficult to get to.

WHY am I in Alaska again? Silly me...
(I suppose if I wasn't here i might not have hooked up w/ the people who got me into climbing to begin with)

It is spring in Jackson valley, but not yet in the Tetons. Went to a Jackson sport crag for the first time this year and had a blast on Friday.

Climbed both Friday and Saturday. Put up a new route on Friday in ground up style (Destructomatic 5.11a / 7 bolts) :) and then today tried to RP my project. Got the big smack down as I was just too fried from the day before heheh. Thats my excuse and I am sticking to it :)

Because I'm in Kuwait. This place is flat, flat, flat. Besides, I can't get off the compound. This place sucks, I want to go home. :(

Hang in there, Kent. Those climbs still gonna be there when you get back. I just posted a picture of Estrellita in Potrero Chico. I'll be heading back there in April. If you run into my pal B.C., say howdy.

SeaBee: be careful out there. The 'X' rating there is high for its rating. Sandbag 5.12+. Nobody else on this website has the bullocks to do what you're doing. It's scary, just watching it from the Various Times.

I have NO excuse for not going out. I can look out my window, and see Bishop's Peak less than two miles (OK, three by car) from my chair. I basically have the Photo-Op Vantage Point by turning my head 111 degrees from where I sit. I can see easy and free, or hard and desperate lines, right from here. They're all close enough to touch. All I need to do is go out there.

WAIT! I DO have an excuse: I worked on The Cams today. And I figured out a simple, but effective trigger lock to keep them retracted on the rack. Pull trigger: the lock releases. Pull trigger and push it over, it locks.

But, this sort of complexity does not sit well in the crustancient mind of an Old Schooler, the type who might still be seen leading on a simple tie-in at the end of the rope. Or the sorta guy who learned to haul by inverting a jumar below a plain pulley. Or rapped the East Ledges with a carabiner brake last May.

You younguns have it so easy . . . . let me tell you about the time I was going up .. . .

Because OH is a mud pit. Oh, and did I mention that I'm working and packing to head out to CO to get some spring skiing in starting on Sat. It needs to warm up out there so I can get some good corn snow. 8)

I also have spent a lot of time playing (and learning) from the (not so) newest addition to the family, my 9 month old daughter.

Ah, a few more years and then she can get on some rock with her pops.
