This coming Saturday through Tuesday (29th - 1st), Project Bandaloop will be involved in a project at Echo Cliffs in the Santa Monica Mountains.

They will be taking over the Java Wall, the Pink Wall and the Alcove for their project.

If you plan on climbing at Echo this weekend, be forewarned and plan on climbing on one of the other many walls at the crag.

Thanks!

Or maybe at another cliff.

It's pretty good. A bunch of bi-sexuals dress up in white sheets (wearing nothing underneath) and then they rappel down the cliff and jump about and throw their arms up in the air.

This is meant to save birds, like the peregrine falcon.

I highly recommend it. Very artistic.

Bi-sexuals jumping and throwing their arms about? Should'nt they be at a bouldering area then?

Joe,

Be nice to us boulderers. As you know, I have repeatedly warned you about this. If you can't get along with us, I will have to force you to take your chair, face it into the corner and take a good long time out.

very funny joe.

i don't know specifically what they're going to be doing. i was contacted by the park service and asked to spread the word.

steve schneider and bill leventhal will be involved in the weekend rigging and the actual filming, etc. will be on monday and tuesday. it's being done for broadcast on PBS from what i gather.

Sounds like Echo is becoming almost as bad as Bishop. I hear in Bishop there is an overtly gay Englishman walking around in a kilt trying to sell guide books.
