I saw these little babies selling for cheap at acme climbing (8 brassies for $30), but I am hesitant to shell out because of the lack of specs and a close-up picture. Are these units good substitutes for other small RP's? Specifially for aid climbing? Or should I just suck it up and buy a complete set of the HB offsets? Keep in mind that I am poor!

These things are OK. The price is right but the nuts slide down the wires if you look at them wrong. The HB offsets are going to make your life a lot easier but these acme nuts are a descent second set in my opinion. Rock On, John

The Acme Brass nuts are the same damn thing as Trango Brassies, just different name, they are alsoi manufactured in the same factory. Most of the products that Acme and rockempire.com sell are the same thing as Trango just a diff name. :!: :?:

Again quoting some dude of some other thread. Acme makes all the gear Wiley Coyote made. I don't trust it.
