Shouldnt slacklines be slack like the name says. They are actually easier to walk on when they are slack. Ive seen a couple slacklines, like the one at Miguels, that you cant even epen the biners used to rig it, because it's so tight.

Its all about what you like. Tighter lines allow for more flexability in what you can do. But then some people who like to surf the line need a little more "slack" in the system. If you watch the top pros, their high lines flex only a few feet. There is no right or wrong way.

i like barely tightening mine at all, then bouncing back and forth on one foot.

It depends on what I want to do on the line. If i'm going to be trying to walk and do tricks and stuff then I like to have it pretty tight. But it is also a lot of fun to have some slack in it and use it like a trampoline.
