Jackson Falls, Draper's mostly.

Latly I have just been bouldering due to a hernia not letting me wear a harness so I have been working on a problem at ferne clyfe.

Another few weeks and I will be roping up again. Let me know some time and We'll get together if you want.

FIN,

I believe we talked before. From your last email I kind of assumed maybe you weren't comfortable with a 31 year old climbing partner. I never really did get your age though. I'm as harmless as they come so don't worry about the age difference. I'm not worried about climbing with a younger crowd who will most likely show me up, I call it motivation.

Hey Shank,

I'd be interested in anything over in the shawnee and also RRG sometime. I've been meaning to send you an email for quite sometime. How often do usually go climbing when your healthy?

I usually climb every weekend. But like I said I mostly go to draper's and such. I have never been to RRG or Shawnee. Might try andy_lemon He seems to have been to more areas than I have. But if anyone wants to get together and climb I am up for roadtrips if I know someone that knows the area is going to be there. I hate going places, not knowing the area, and not seeing any one. And the RRG is a pretty good drive from me.

Let me know.

Being bored on the weekend in Evansville = travel to Southern Illinois.

Lets get an outing started... goto SoIl somewhere, just like the cool people that went to NRP last week. I'm jealous... I like beer... I didn't get to go... I didn't get to drink beer... I want to go now... I'm drinking now...

Yeah, good ol Andy seems to have done it all around IN, KY and TN. I'm still interested in hooking up with you guys Andy, I just don't want to be the one holding you guys back if you want to climb Trad. I noticed Shank does mostly TR and sport which is what I'm interested in for now.

Yeah Shank, your about 5.5 hours from the Gorge.. that's a pretty good drive, but I gaurentee it's worth it. You're a bit closer then me to T-wall, Fosters and Sunset near Chattanooga though.

I've been all over the gorge hiking, so I know the general area. All I need is that RRG guidebook at Miguels and I'll be all set.

Good idea Andy, I'm all for a gathering at JFalls or Drapers.... lets start the planning.

I think we should do a gathering also. Early june would be best for me.

Camping at Jfalls is less of an issue, But I could talk to Eric at Draper's and see if I could work something out.

I climb trad too. I just enjoy being able to climb closer to my limit on tr or sport.

Someone shoot me a pm about the gathering.

Later,
Steve

I'm from the Carbondale area. I climb usually on Tuesdays. My schedule (work 50+ hours plus school) prevents me from getting out any other day. Trad is my preference, and I'm 32. I have one regular climbing partner, from Carbondale, I think he's 23. Or I climb with my girlfriend or I rope-solo. I rotate areas and try to go somewhere different every week. I know SIU has a gym, but I've never been there. Too much good rock all around.

I think a gathering would be great and would definately try to be there, it'd be great to meet all you guys.

I heard that the SoIll Holds guys are trying to put together a comp here, and a big party at their place north of C'dale on 51.

Curt - I climb at Dixon sometimes, it's a cool place. Especiallly down the canyon.

That place is bomb... if nothing else, its a great place to go and drink beer. Not too many places like that around here. Love the waterfall. A great place for a bath in the summer...
