Does anybody know the model number for the best Nicopress Swager? It seems like the 64, but I'm not sure. Also, the online dealers seem to have model numbers of their own to complicate things. I spent last night pulling my hair out. Any help would be appreciated. I've used the things, but never owned one. Mark

Hi Mark, Yes, the Nicopress No. 64-CGMP is the model to use. You can purchase the jaws separately or included with a bolt cutter type swager. I prefer a bench-mount unit (model No. 510) with the No. 64 jaws. You can swage #5 heads with the P (#4) size crimp; use #4 cable and a #4 sleeve for the loop and a #5 sleeve for the head itself. Forget the built-in side cutter (for cable) and go with the Swiss-made Felco C-7 hand-held cutters. Let me know if you still have questions. Good luck.
