There is a better alternative then either of those. Next time you're in the Valley, go to the mountain shop. Tell the guy behind the counter you want one of the sh$t bags. He'll now exactly what you want. They resemable a river dry bag. Heavy duty as hell. Very compact. You'll see. They cost about $25 USD.

I bet you could get pretty far with 5 lbs. of cheese, and that would only cost $10

LMAO @ the cheese comment....

or just make sure you eat lots of red meat before the climb, you won't have any bathroom issues for some time...

Sorry..... But its the truth..

I would like to climb the Nose this season also. If this is still the route that you are considering, please invest in a poop container, be it PVC a Nalgene or something fancier, and don't hual your poo in paper bags.

We use our used water bottles (the soda ones). Open with knife, insert your deposit, seal with duct tape. Free. PVC tubes are lame, cost money, add to the cluster. Anyway, the key is free, and you already have it with you.

geez. why do people like to spend money unnecessarily?

For the life of me I can't figure out why ptpp and others keep suggesting the wallflower as a good option. If your other gear had that same potential for failure and failure rate, we'd call you a suicidal idiot for climbing with it. my guess is that since the failur only affects the next parties up the wall that people who use the wallflower don't give a schit about the consequences. If that's it, great attitude guys. Reminds me a little of people who place convenience rivets.
