I ran into Boone Speed at the City of Rocks a few years ago. He was climbing a 5.7 right next to me....I thought it was pretty cool at the time. Then, about 2 years later I actually climbed with him one weekend.

Davidji: got a name for the climber? A shot of him/her scrunched up on a crack with no description doesn't do much, ya know? Mike...

In reply to: Davidji: got a name for the climber? A shot of him/her scrunched up on a crack with no description doesn't do much, ya know? Mike... Sorry. I didn't have much time when I posted it, and I hoped it could stand on it's own. Croft downclimbing Doublecross. Fall 2000. Like extrememountaineer said, he's a great guy.

Ahh, no worries, probably just me who didn't know who it was, don't think I've ever seen a pic of Peter Croft...that explains the lack of a rope though! Mike...

there is no such thing as a famous climber.any of the top names could walk down the street without hassle.famous people cannot. there might be famous people who climb. is that what you mean?
