Is there anything else on the east that you guys know of besides cathedral ledge. I need to go climb something memorial day weekend but the traffic up to NH is nasty that weekend. Anywhere else ...?

Is North Carolina an option?
If so, then there are many long multipitch routes to choose from.
The biggest areas are Linville Gorge, Whitesides Mountain, and Looking Glass.

If you're looking for aid, then i'd head you toward Looking Glass Rock.
The Glass managerie goes at C2 if I'm not mistaken, and the final pitch is about a 5.7 slab climb. Check it out in the routes database. A lot of people here have climbed it. It can take 2 days easily unless you're cookin'.
There is some aid climbing at Whitesides, but the majority of climbs there are bold free routes. Linville is good for long, easy/moderate trad climbs.

glass menagerie (see recent Rock and Ice -- this issue or last -- for beta)
original route, Whitesides
Wallface in the Adirondacks (wilderness big wall)
many of the routes on Cannon
Mordor Wall up at Cathedral
some of the old aid routes on Table Rock, SC (but those may be illegal)
good luck!!! persevere and top step every piece.

Not tried it but I head Cannon in NH has some testy (loose) Aid if you want to try something harder.

yeah y not go up and check on the "Old Man" at Cannon? see if that is climbable lol...
hope u like choss... i was at the base of Cannon once a while ago and it was just strewn with debris...

I climbed at cannon summer and winter it is not all that bad...however grades are stiff there and the gear is something to be desire…not an objective for one of your first walls

It's gone, as in totally. the whole thing fell right off...woulda fallen years ago but for the pins, glue and cables shoring it up.

Didn't the old man fall off recently. Thought I heard something about it.
Anyway if you like granite Aiding come to Looking Glass. But watch that R&I issue their are a couple errors from super topo. ie. the last one and half pitches of Rowens is wrong
