Be careful out there! The season is almost over...last weekend I was there and suffered mild heat exhaustion. NOT fun....stay hydrated and in the shade. :)

In reply to: Be careful out there! The season is almost over...last weekend I was there and suffered mild heat exhaustion. NOT fun....stay hydrated and in the shade. :) Good Advice,I was trying to tell someone else on RC.Com as well .But realistically they can climb early mornings, and in the later afternoon and evenings. Hey maybe they'll set up some swimming party in the afternoon, at the Hot Springs, with cool drinks, and ice cream. 8) I did click on that Friends of Josh ,it really sounds great!!!! Have a wonderful time, bring alot of sunblock, chapstick, hats, and gatorade. :P

I spent the start of this week in JT and it was silly hot. A few hours of climbing at dusk and some moonlight/sunrise stuff at dawn but that was it. I spent all day sleeping in the shade at the base of La Reina like a lizard. I knew I was in trouble when I pulled into camp at 11pm and it was comfortable in a t-shirt. Bring LOTS of water and a swamp cooler if you have one.
