should climbers be reponsible to clean up their image as nature lovers? from the sport crag (once called a canyon) to the bigwall climbers are leaving their mark. it's led to some access and public relations problems. what should happen?

personally i don't mind being considered an enviromentlist I kinda am. i think we should at least help with taking care of the earth it is what allows us to climb. it upsets me when the area around a sight is dirty it kinda makes us look bad. At lest pick up your garbage I personally pick up all i can.

I think of it as a priviledge to climb in some of the places i have. So what is so hard about keeping these areas clean. I don't think we all need to runout and join Greenpeace but using your brain really shouldn't be that taxing if you want to preserve a future for climbing.
