I am going to be in Arkansas in October, and yall have some nice looking crags, but I don't know where I should stay(city) and where I should climb. MY girl is coming to so looking for good diversity from 5.8 to 5.12-. Is there any good multi-pitch up there, any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Phil

Sam's Throne is your best bet. There's hundreds of climbs from 5.6-5.13. Lots of trad and sport. Good rock and steep. Definitely check out the throne and the main Bluffs, Valley of the Blind(warm if it's cold outside), and cave creek.

I've climbed at Mt. Magazine, and was impressed! The sandstone is as solid as can be, and the lines are suprisingly asthetic.

It's all trad though, so I don't know if you're into that. It's worth it.

I like trad but don't got the cash for a descent rack, so I am limited to sport routes. What is the best city to stay in to be near most of the crags?

Been to both... Magazine and Sam's Throne.

I like Mt Magazine a bit better:

This climb is only 5.9, and protects very well.

Check out the RDB for Arkansas... You can see pics of both.

of course Magazine and Sam's as mentioned above.

also, if you're looking for a laid back, well-developed sport climbing type of VC, I would definitely recommend a stop at Horsheshoe Canyon in NW Ark. no multi-pitch though. the place is not too shabby in the Fall. I like it alright, and I'm a girl. does that count? plus, $5/day gets you camping AND climbing.
