Just looking for some suggestions for taking my little brothers out this summer and wanted to see what people posted. I am looking for places that are toprope accessible; preferably with bolts to tie into. Any other suggestions outside this criteria would also be great. Thanks alot

Personally, I take all my newbies to the Garden of the Gods here in Colorado; but I don't know of any good spots in the midwest.

Some folks might give you some beta on the Red or the New. Hear those are big meccas out east.

Just look for a small little bluff that looks easy for you to climb. Bluffs usually have the ablilty to be top roped and they are fun little play toys for bigginers. Just make sure that the first time you take them that they suceed at there first climb. If they do then they will always want to climb for the rest of there life, that is what my friends did with me. About a month after i started climbing they told me that ain't nothing and showed me some more difficult routes. I love to conquer them now and i still play on the little ones for warm ups and just to have fun and get high to jump off and go down.
