Randee, I 'might' be coming up Thursday and Friday to climb (Aug. 21-22). I will not know till later this coming week about my schedule. Are you going to be there all day on Friday, and would you need a partner then? Let me know (PM works). Ben

[quote="enigma...........hopefully I'll be able to get cell service there. :idea:Verizon and ATT do get service at the parking lot (North side is better). Not a real strong signal (1-2 bars) but usually adequate, FYI. Ben

I may be there with my partner on Thursday/Friday. Probably won't be climbing at your level, though (way lower 6-8). PM my if you decide before you go that you will still be there. If you are still there, post on the BB at the potties, and look for a green toyota tercel. Ben

I'll be there thursday thru Sunday. We should have a group there, you're welcome to climb with us. I'll probably need a partner at least one day. I'll check your site and see if you're still there. Leave a note on the message board if you'd like. jon

A little birdie told me that the ratings at Lover's Leap are soft. I've never been there though, so... Yes? No?

In reply to: A little birdie told me that the ratings at Lover's Leap are soft. I've never been there though, so... Yes? No? I think they're valid. Because of the nature of the rock (lots of horizontal dikes), difficulty is often height dependent. Many climbs will be easier for a taller person, harder for a shorter one.

I'll second that height theory on climbs at the Leap :D I'm fairly short and normally climb with folks a good foot plus taller than I and I'm always doing a lot of frictioning on nothing to get to those good holds  Fun climbing, though....
