Sorry Kurt, I said you could do the Sept thread and I waited to see if you'd do it and here it is the 1st and no post.

Well we have about 2 months of climbing left, Blue mound will be looking a lot better as we cool down and we climbed on winter walll Fri so now we know we're getting to the end.

As usual post your plans or partner needs here. Kurt you can do Oct. if your a little faster next time (i seem to remember Dann telling you you'd better be quick about it  )

This coming weekend are the annual Adopt-a-Crag day events, sponsored by Midwest Mountaineering, at both Barn Bluff and the North Shore! Saturday September 6, 10:00 am at Red Wing and Sunday September 7, 10:30 at Tettegouche State Park.
Check out http://www.mnclimbing.org/events.html to sign up as well as more information on projects to be tackled. Please come out to one or both events and help us to continue to prove that climbers are a great asset to the cities we visit as well as a responsible user group.
Don't forget about the slide show and beer that will follow Saturdays clean up at Midwest Mountaineering!

Tim-Nice site, I enjoyed the pics.

Is anyone climbing before next weekend? Like Red Wing some afternoon/evening this week? I'm up for it any day starting about 4:30-5:00. It's supposed to be nice weather all week.

Thank Josh,

I do have a few more pics that were added last night per rockfools request.

How late in the season is the Moab area climbable? I was thinking of making a trip out there before it gets to cold.

You might want to make a post in the US / West or Mountain States regional forums (where Moab is located) and ask some of the locals out there Tim. However, I think, being that Moab is a desert area, it is probably climbable throughout most of the year.

They may tell you it gets too cold to climb there, but their cold, and our cold are two entirely different conditions. You will be able to deal with a much cooler temp than they are normally used to.

Anyway, give it a try...

this seems to be just the case as from having spent the past six summers in Vegas I now find myself wearing a down parka when the temps dip into the mid 70's.....

Well 'doc, you ought to stop on up to MN this January and we'll put that down parka to a real test! Although, our winters have been relatively mild the last couple of years...

I can understand a sweatshirt, or a light jacket or fleece for you warm-climate folks, but parkas at 70 degrees??? I guess you're not one of the alpine gurus here eh? 8)

Sorry Chad, fo_d and I are day-trippin' down to Blue Mounds Friday morning. Come on down there if you want. We are coming home Friday night 'cus Les' "ball & chain" insists he work around the house/yard sometime this weekend...

Oh well, I guess that's the price you pay for a quality "ball & chain" these days.

Jeff
Its just an old dome tent, maybe sirra designs, I don't know.
Or it might have been my usual tarp. :)

Anyone have room for one more climber at the North Shore Cleanup. I can drive myself, I just need some climbing partners.

Anyone up for climbing at Barns this week? 5:30pm or so? Also anyone up for Taylor's on Sunday? I'm thinking of camping out on Sat night if there are spots left.

Hey all. I'm back up here at the U of M in Minneapolis, and looking to climb. My car situation hasn't improved, that is to say, I ain't got one. So, if anyone is heading out to Barn's Bluff or perhaps TF and is in the area and would like some money for gas, a partner, and some good climbing karma, drop me a line. Looking to go out on the weekends.

Hey Les,
Awesome photos. I was going to see if any one is up for a weekend at the north shore not this weekend but the weekend after?

The pictures are way better when you can take them from the top down. I could really use you and Dan's help in learning to take better pictures.

Hello. I figured I would try this forum as well. I am visiting from out of state and will be in Saint Paul through the end of September. If anybody wants to climb I should be available pretty much any day of the week. Thanks.

Mark
