...that awesome move in Mission Impossible at the begining when Tom Cruise is climbing Free Solo and does that rotating hanging thing? That is incredible...I'd heard that he does his own stunts? I finally watched the movie and was amazed at the climbing.....do you think this will promote Free Soloing? MR

It will promote free soloing and then some one will die and free soloing will be viewed as a death wish yet again.... Any sport is safe as long as the athlete stays within their comfort level. Dont know what it is called but it is freakin great..eh (I am Canadian) :D

it's called the helicopter, one of many manuevers in the free soloists bag of tricks; another is the all-points-off dyno, also the double pop (two lunges in a row)...take a class if you are interested.

In reply to: ...do you think this will promote Free Soloing? Well since the movie has been out for about 5 years now, I doubt it.

i think the darwin effect will take care of any unnecessary soloing due to MI2 influence. the helicopter is probably best suited for the playground, or the circus.

In reply to: What do you call that awesome move in Mission Impossible at the begining when Tom Cruise is climbing Free Solo and does that rotating hanging thing? I call it time to hit "eject" and snap in any movie with Liv Tyler. (Any movie, really, I'm not picky in this respect.

I've been practicing the helicopter on TR. Haven't been successful yet, but it's only because the rope keeps getting in the way. I'm going to try it without the rope in the way this weekend, I'll let you know how it turns out.

In reply to: But yeah, I strongly, STRONGLY, recommend free soloing for all Tom Cruise fans. Thus creating an all-new form of the dreaded Cruise missile.

T3+. the + is only for originality. otherwise, he could have certainly worded it better to make it sound more honest. it might get a T4 though b/c some of the responses were so funny.

In reply to: I call it time to hit "eject" and snap in any movie with Liv Tyler. (Any movie, really, I'm not picky in this respect. Dude, have you seen Dr. T and the Women?! You might reconsider your "any Liv Tyler movie" policy if you see that one. That movie was painfully difficult to watch. Seriously! For a film where every woman and her mother runs around topless half the time, it still sucked in a way even I was able to detect through all the nudity. Liv Tyler was well below par, too! I assume nobody minds me going ridiculously off-topic, as this is a troll, anyway. P.S. I support xanx's T3 rating.
