In reply to: when you have nuts and your girlfriend has a rack! Close. When you have better than a dozen nuts and your rack is bigger than your girlfriend's.

In reply to: -- all your draws are 12” long Oh, good. I'm safe. Some are 24" and 36". All the short ones are 12, though.
In reply to: -- you drop your belay device and you still know how to belay Got a biner? Got a belay device. Got a body? Got a belay without a device. :P
In reply to: -- you take a nap in the middle of a climb Had a funny moment Saturday when one of my climbing partners looked exceptionally rested at the top of the cliff and another warned him not to fall asleep. I almost told the story (ahh, war stories, gotta love 'em!) about the time my partner and I were climbing out at Seneca, got to the top of whatever it was we were climbing on the South End, and basically just took a nap there, unroped and unanchored, in the sun. I figured they would think I'm even more off my rocker than they do now, so I kept that one to myself.
In reply to: -- you coil your rope Still feels weird seeing people stuff their ropes into a bag.
In reply to: -- you’ve set up a belay with the only piece of gear left on your rack And it was a figure 8.

My favs were: The water bottle taking five seconds to hit and rapping in the dark. However the "show" was the one about bouldering on our day off. :) Great thread! JD PS My car is worth less than my rack. :)

on a long road trip you practice cliping, and your reasoning is that you want to make fast clips for those long climbs.... you believe that a truck with a shell on it is a house you show off your rack to all your friends everytime they come over cause you added one new piece you can climb in a jacket---and buy clothing based on how it would do on an off width...
