I was wondering if any of you ladies had issues with men. I find myself frequently aggravated with them. I ask because I just got a phone call to go to a BBQ at a friends house where a recent affair will be in house. I haven't talked to my friend the host for a while and would love to attend. anyways, I'm babbling and curious if other girls out there love 'em and hate 'em.

I believe I know where you are coming from...I can say with certainty, that as much as you may not want to go to this BBQ - GO!! Do not let a man stand in your way of having a good time and seeing old friends. I have had many frustrations with men lately and the stories are too long to string along in a forum thread. Just remember to live your life for you and to always be the bigger, better person - you will feel great after you have gone and faced the music and know that you made it out alive!!!! Cheers and Good Luck

And I may add at this juncture I think you made your mr. into a much more positive guy. :P Alpinelynx, also think you should go but bring someone better looking/smarter etc. on your arm. As for the original question, I'm still debating.

heck yes go... and wear something that you look and feel sexy in (but subtle). I love it when I run into an old fling and you can just tell what he is thinking. Something like: "holy crap, she looks good. Did she look that good when I was with her. And I let her get away... stupid stupid stupid... Maybe if I gawk and stare she will sleep with me again" ha... I have such a low opinion of guys sometimes. Except the one i am with right now, I think he is the greatest thing since sliced bread! K

Go and have a good time! Don't let an ex stand in your way. Remember they're your friends to!

Shouldn’t this thread being tossed into community be considered cruel and unusual punishment…LoL Let me start off with: if you’re having “issues” with men in general…it’s probably not that “Y” chromosome that is your problem…however, any further assistance in this matter will require an office, a small couch, and a therapist. As far as an “affair” showing up to a party… I say go…feel it out…if all is well, then you’re stylin…if things aren’t going well…bail…come back here and tell us all how bad men are. -Hanger

i say go. if he cant trust you enough to be in the same house with an old flame, then he's not worth keeping around. also, no one - male or female - is worth keeping you from what you want. people that try to stifle or control you should be promptly ejected from your life. jmho, amber

Not out of whack. Just trying to keep the LR from turning into Community. The Ladies Room is for female-related climbing issues and this is not one of them. PMs are always sent to the original poster before "tossing" them anywhere.

PMs are always sent to the original poster before "tossing" them anywhere. I suppose if I wanted the community at large to discuss the topic I would have posted it in the community. I was interested in the women climbers' opinions on the issue. Maybe I should have included that he was a climber and we climbed together. Have you moved all of the breast/skin/hair/breakups whatever posts over to community yet, or haven't you gotten to that? Seeing as many of those posts have nothing to do with womens climbing issues, I expect the action soon. thanks.

Normally I wouldn’t be the instigator in something of this nature… But this is going to be good! Please don’t go doing anything crazy like taking this to PM’s… /grabs pop-corn and a chair and sits next to the mud-pit
