i think that's kinda silly... :shock: anyone who has ever been, or has even talked to anyone, knows that it is a festival as well as a comp. they didn't need to change the name to purvey that image... oh well, jim does as jim wants...

To hear others speak of this, it seems they should have done this a few years back, but by taking "bouldering" out of the title.

PBC, PBB, doesn't matter to me, isn't going to disrupt the atmosphere and the climbing.

they should rename it the "Phoenix Toproping Comp"

that or ditch the ropes on the hard problems and do real bouldering sends

That is only because they decided to make it more suitable for sport climbers instead of boulderers.
