Hey, it might be serious, then again maybe not, but in my best public affairs response, as a site administrator, I am bound by duty to respond with this... TROLL (v.) (1) To deliberately post derogatory or inflammatory comments to a community forum, chat room, newsgroup and/or a blog in order to bait other users into responding. (2) To surf the Internet. (3) To hang around a chat room reading the posts instead of contributing to the chat. (n.) One who performs any of the above actions.

your not dissing people who carry nalgene bottles are ya? note: to carry a nalgene bottle and not be a poser, the bottle must look somewhat worn, thus helping an onlooker remove 97% of the people who carry nalgene bottles from those who are actually climbers. Brightly coloured bottles also reveal posers.

YOU ARE ALL WRONG!!!! I used to work on a troller. Trolling is something you do on a fishing vessell. A troller has several fishing lines that have a heavy weight on the bottom to take the line down. Each line that goes down has several other baited lines spaced at regular intervals that catch the fish. You see...the troller (poster) sets the bait to catch the fish (the flamers). There is an art to it. It's all about how you present the bait. The better you are at it the more fish you will catch. Ocasionally you get the od shark that comes along and rips into the fish making things much more exciting. 8)

I think colored nalgene's still are not posers....If it's so beat up that the numbers arn't visible any more and has several large gashes in it (Mine fell of the back of my bike when I was going 40)

Brightly coloured bottles also reveal posers. I have two nalgene bottles. The logo and measurement marks are completely worn off both. One has several huge gashes from accidently being dropped from the top of a climb. Is this good enough to qualify me as a climber? Edit: Almost forgot. I clip the bottles to my pack with an old, scratched up BD oval which coincidently, has also been accidently dropped from the top of a climb.

Brightly coloured bottles also reveal posers. So who's the bigger poser: posers or anti-posers?

wrap yer Naglene bottle in yards and yards of duct tape to protect it from impacts, as well as covering up all the shiney newness. Later on when you epic you can peel off the tape and fix yer rainfly and broken femur with it. Is this it?
