Anyone have experiences with the Android Leash?? I am particularly interested in the ease-of-use and reliability of BD's 'quick clip' system.

Yeah, they're the best damn leashes I have ever used. If you're going to use a leash at all, the Androids are the ones I would (highly) recommend. The fact that you can unclip and reclip with one hand means that you can pull off a limited subset of leashless maneuvers (switching hands, stacking, etc) and still have the security of being leashed when you want it. I haven't yet bit the bullet and bought a pair for my Vipers cause I'm waiting to see what happens with the Fangs. I used a pair with my Grivels (now sold) and loved them.

I use them for pure ice climbing...I love them. They're not so good for alpine, but they can be used for that as well. This season, I plan on using two androids and going modified leashless...I will climb the rock leashless, then when I get on the ice, I can clip in my androids.

another vote for the androids. make sure you get the hose clamps in place properly and then you shouldn't have problems with them unclipping unexpectedly. i started leading quite a bit harder the day i used them to replace my old crappy leashes.
