The only guide is out of print, and sold out. You can sign out a copy from Dale at Gravity Gear in town. If your looking for a specific area I can get you the topo if you want.

Jasper is one of the closest areas - however getting a guide book is not so easy. They don't publish them and the boys in Jasper don't give up the information too readily. There is a new area that has been developed in the Medicine Lake area and if you go to MEC in Edmonton and ask someone in the climbing area for the TOPO they will be more then happy to assist you!!

The other good climbing is south in the Banff Canmore areas and those routes can be found in the guide books - the drive is not that much further and there are multiple areas to climb - we headed out that way every weekend this summer!!!

Good luck and have fun - Jasper is amazing.

Bow Valley Rock is good, and presents an excellent history of climbing development in the area.

You can borrow a copy from the public library in Jasper and photocopy it for a few bucks. You have to ask the librarian, though, since they keep it behind the counter to keep it from getting stolen.
