This might sound crazy, but I gave serious thought to that as motivation. Ya see, I'm finally getting back into trad after not climbing forever. Truth is, it feels WAY sketchy up there. First time, I said I'd buy dinner if I bailed. I didn't. Second time, no such motivation. I bailed. I'm also climbing way too slow, so I thought it might be motivational to do a XX minutes per pitch or less, or NEKKID!
Probably won't do it though. I figure blinding my partners just for the sake of my motivation might be a little cruel.
