Any one own a metolius chief haul bag, or know any one else that has one? Is it worth the money or is it crap?

I'd say it is... the only real difference is the closure system.
Smithclimber and I used two models of Metolius bags to do a couple walls with, one Chief and one El Cap (I think) and neither one looked any worse for wear then the other... even though the decent from the Leaning Tower gully had me and my bag tumbling and sliding a lot!
I like the drybag style closure on the Chief best too, though the straps aren't the most deluxe they offer.
If I were to buy another bag... it'd be a Chief, plain and simple.
