Hey i was looking into getting some under armour and i was wondering if it is actually as good as they say it it? Does anyone here wear it to climb in and is it comfortable and really keep you cooler and dryer? Let me know

I wear the shorts as undy's when its hot outside, seems to work pretty good plus it adds support.

I've never used it for climbing, but have used it for baseball and football in very hot weather. Works great:)

for the more budget-conscious climber, you can feel oh so much cooler by simply taking your shirt off. In extreme heat, try splashing yourself with water. both are free. i dont even want to know how much that stuff costs. seriously, its probably about 10 times as much as i have in my wallet right now.

I have seen the stuff, never worn it. It does seem too tough. Brush up against some grainy rock a few times and I'll bet it would fall apart.

I have one piece of it and honestly, I love it. I use it when backpacking, canoeing, rafting, and of course, climbing. It's lightweight, fairly tough (I have 2 snags, but no tears), and is comfortable.
More onto your question. I have the Sleeveless "Heat Gear." It has done great at keeping me warm in cooler weather (notice I didn't say cold), and cool in warmer weather (notice I didn't say hot). It's a good moderate piece of gear, weighs nothing, is comfortable, and dries quickly. At $23 I'll buy another sleeveless shirt in Jan. It's served me well thus far.

I think UnderArmour is too pricey. I've used coolmax and polartec powerdry with similar results and they're much cheaper. Then material of AU is a bit delicate for my taste too. Doesn't mix well with offwidths...

the stuff is awesome. I wore a long sleeve caving one time, and fell through a hole i didnt see. Stopped myself with my elbow, and not even a snag in my sleeve, nor a scratch on my arm.
