Not really anyway. I am sure there are a lot of Madrock owners who can sympathize with the short life of the soft soles. After I wore mine out, I bought a pair of Evolv Rage shoes which I love. Along with that they gave me a $15 credit toward resoling. I had the Madrock Mugens resoled with the Trax XT5 rubber and the rands repaired. I paid $69 for the Madrocks, wore them for 4 months, had them resoled for $40 (incl shipping). Pretty good deal. Now I don't know which ones I like better Some may argue that I ended up with a $109 pair of Anasazi's, but it would still be a good deal at that. I am sure that there are a lot of worn out Madrock shoes that could find new life with a better balance of rubber. Check them out at www.yosimitebum.com or www.evolvesports.com. Great service and products.
