Well, here it is, everyone, your chance to show off your nice rack. Take a picture, list what ya got, and let people rate it from 1-10. Or just to be stupid, we could rate it 5.5-5.14a but anyway, here ya go. Post em up! Here, i'll start. My rack currently consists of 1 (one) #7 wildcountry nut. And an ATC. yep.... Anyone else?

Very disappointing ... I thought there was going to be a picture of some hotty in a bikini. That said, I have 40-50 cams, about as many stoppers, doubles in the smaller tricams, 2 sets of big bros with triple #3 and #4, double set of lowe balls, and an assortment of pins and hooks. Too bad I can't afford a digital camera. Remember though, it's not necessarily the size of your rack that counts, it's how you use it. There's nothing worse than an unhappy piece of gear that never gets used. Please feel free to send any unhappy gear to me as I promise to give it a loving and well used home.

Wow, that sounds like a pretty solid 10 on the rating scale, or 5.14, Big wall I presume??? I had a bunch of gear stolen. I now have 13 cams left. 2 sets of abc and BD stoppers. Some hexes. :-(. Only good thing is I get to buy more gear. YAY

Yep...that rack is definitely a solid 10 contender. My rack consists of: 6 cams (Metolious 1,2,4 BlackDiamond .5,1,2) 3 BlackDiamond Hexes 5,6,7 14 Nuts BlackDiamond 1-13 and a Wild Country 7 I guess I rate myself about a 6.5 or 5.8.

I've got one set of WC nuts, one set of BD nuts, a set of hexes, half a set of tri-cams (the smaller sizes), one wired bliss cam, and a bunch of random old gheto gear like saddle wedges. It's a pretty solid passive rack, too bad I suck at leading trad.

In reply to: not bad compare it to a rack of one of my colleagues who has invested about $50,000 in his . dude..I hope your buddy didnt spend 50G's on gear. If he did, hes working way too much and needs to do some road trippin. Or needs to start donating some of his rack to those of us "unfortunate" enough to be broke due to our road trippin. :D btw..2 pink tricams, a red and a brown tc. abc heuvos, Metolius wired hexes( full set) 2.5,3,3.5 Forged friends with Gunks tie off, clear alien( 15$ at a swap meet), #3 camalot, 4 CM lasers (2 each 13, 16cm), lots of BD wiregates and a bunch of random slings. Have yet to buy anything other than a few slings and my reverso at MSRP 8)

Yeah really, 50K on gear. Does he ever climb or just spend his time buying gear. There is no need for that.

to be honest I'm not sure I could think any way to spend that kind of money on all my outdoor gear, 50g's just on climbing gear? sounds bogus to me.

If that 50K was for silicon then I hope that the reference to "his" rack was just being a little posesive of his gf/wife. If not...dude, this guy has issues.

Damn... this thread should be renamed "make me jealous"... Reading about all the crap I don't have doesn't make me feel much better about my pitiful rack. I've got a full set of BD hexes, a purple camalot, and a #5 and a #6 metolius cam. No nuts and no more cams.... It's not much and it's kind of an odd mix of gear, since I basically bought it all second hand whenever I saw a good deal pop up from other climbers.

One full set of Smiley nuts, One set of BD hexes (that I strung myself nonetheless), One set of tricams, 0.5-3.0, BD camalots .5-3, Metolius TCU's 0-4...and all the slings to go with. Doesn't sound like much, but considering this is my first year on lead and well, most of the chicks I know just use their boyfriends rack anyway, so I think I'm doing pretty good!

The light was weird, the cams should be shiny and all the rest should be dull. I don't know what happened.

Maybe the guys was REALLY fat and in serious need of a chest reduction????? If you ask me, that would be one situation where it would be okay for a guy to spend $50K on his own chest.

Mom can I have some trad gear for my 14th birthday? Shiny gear gets a 5.4.
