run-n-jump is about as simple to explain as the name implies. You pick a problem with a usually pretty blank face that would be hard to climb normally but with a big hold at the top. You back about 15-20 feet and start running like mad at the boulder. Right when you get to it you kick off and catch the top hold. Hence a "run" and "jump" problem. As for streetcar, I've seen it rated in several guidebooks as a V5 run and jump problem (lots of fun though :)

It's kinda hard and, at least in my opinion, kinda retarded to give a V grade to a run and jump problem. Run and Jumps aren't really comparable to anything else. Jtree generally uses the J1 - J3 run and jump system, I don't know why people try to assign V grades to that. Chump Jump, for instance, is one of the easiest run and jumps and is called J1. I think Street Car get's called J2. I know a lot of people who find the stem easier than the run and jump so saying that the run and jump is V5 vs. the V6/7 for the stem is kinda arbitrary. Especially for my 5'3" climbing partner who can stem up it no problemo but can't even get halfway up it run-and-jump style.
