I've never had anyone tell me not to climb at Bell Smith Springs. Not that I do, or would. (for the authorities monitoring this transmission) Bell Smith Springs is a natural area, isn't it? According to http://216.239.39.104/search?q=cache:w75yHI3VEpsJ:www.fs.fed.us/r9/shawnee/forestclosures/closures/orderno0802.pdf+rock+climbing+natural+areas+shawnee&hl=en&start=2&ie=UTF-8 climbing is not allowed in any designated natural area within the Shawnee National Forest. Punishable by no more than 6 months in the slammer and $5000 in fines. If I were to give advice, which I don't, I would say to leave the gear at home and boulder at will. As for Holy Boulders, well, the song remains the same. Be quiet and polite, tread lightly, and pretend your mama is watching you every second. You should be fine.
