From what little I've read, it sounds like having a lab print my digital photos is a lot easier and cheaper than buying a printer myself. Anyone use these online digital photo labs such as shutterfly.com or ofoto.com? Are they any cheaper or have higher quality than my local drugstore? And another question. What's a good general digital photo website?

I wouldn't use such companies if I were getting a large exhibition type print made. Then I would turn to a local service bureau and have the prints made on a LightJet printer. However, that gets expensive. For printing numerous 5x7 or 8x10 snap shots that you want to share with your friends Ofoto is fantastic. I suspect the results are better than anything you will get printing at your local drug store but more importantly it is much more convenient. The service is excellent. I've never had a single complaint.
