I'll be up there Friday night around 6:00 or 7:00 depends on when I get to leave town. Me, my girlfriend and Blake (scclimber) are probably coming down together maybe a few more.

I will probably be down Friday night, with a few other people.
We could just plan to meet somewhere Saturday morning before the comp, and introduce ourselves to each other. It's always great to meet local climbers.

Hell yeah, I'll be down there Friday night with Greg...Does anybody know a good place to meet up? I don't know the area at all. If cars are parked near the campsite/registration area we could meet up at my car or something (bright, bright blue Subaru, hard to miss). Any better ideas?

Even better, everybody go check out cchsclimber's profile pic. If she wears that hat I don't think anybody will have trouble finding her! That's our new rally point!

Melissa's hat would work for a meeting point. We could all meet by the parking lot about 700 or 730 Saturday morning. I think the comp starts at 800, but don't hold me to that one. I plan on heading down straight from work, so I should be there about 530 or 600 at the latest on Friday night.
Looks like the camping is right next to the boulders (as stated on drtopo.com). Better pack warm too, cause it looks to be a blustery day on Saturday.

I'll be in an orange 2003 beetle so I'll be hard to miss (my girlfriend's car) it will have south carolina plates and she has an orange palmetto tree sticker on the back glass. If ya'll see it I should be close.

I think me Jon, and Josh are all tooling down in my 4runner Friday afternoon. Plans are subject to change though. It looks like I'm not going to have an exam conflict for the whole weekend. Outstanding.

I'm gonna bring the stuff to set up a slackline. We didn't have one at HE, or at LRC. This one will be good though. Bring extra firewood everyone. It's gonna be COLD!

Why is it I'm picturing a bunch of guys huddled around a girl with a rainbow hat on all weekend? :)
Have fun everyone. Wish I could make it, but I'm spending this weekend moving. FUN!

Thus... my post. :)

Trust me... I'd MUCH rather be freezing my ass off with you guys down in AL. I HATE moving... we've accumulated WAY too much stuff.

Anyways, have fun.

thusfar for the Triple Crown, meaning HE & LRC, registration/check-in has been at ~8am and mass bussing over to the climbing areas for the comp (climbing itself starting around 10am). however, since the camping at HP40 is right at the climbing (not needing that 10-20 minute drive) i have no idea what the timing of events are.

anyone up for Rocktown on sunday, if HP40 is closed for cleanup (like the other 2 comps)?

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm stoked that the climbing is within a stones throw of my Car, Food, and Cooler. This is promising to be the best comp yet. That's the best thing about the Sandrock Hoedown. Cant send a problem? "Screw this" Go to the car, eat an entire bag of chips, drink a beer, return to the problem rejuvinated and send away.

Ahhhhhhh...
