You may find yourself belaying in a foot of snow in February at Seneca. Some locals will probably be able to verify this, but we held Oozefest just South of Seneca last year at Nelson Rocks in late March and got snowed on pretty heavily. Good luck either way, hope you catch some sun and warm temps. Mick

weather in W.V. in feb., can be hit and miss, there may be 2 feet of snow or it may be 70 degrees. you can check with me before you come down, i can give you an updated weather report. as far as top roping goes, not really much for that. there are a few routes you can set up on. neck press 5.7(if its not crowded), triple s 5.7, humphreys head 5.2, scuttle 5.5. i am sure if you look around, you could find a local to climb with you.

TR's are kind of hard to come by at Seneca. Like Zap wrote, The North peak east face is accessable from the tourist trail. There are others that you can set up if you lead, try Ecstacy Jr. to set up on The Burn 5.8 and Sunshine 5.10a. I understand there are good easy TR areas at Nelson, try the Pillar South face or Area 51. Also, heres a little tip I use for winter climbing, put one of those disposable hand warmers in your chalk bag, when your fingers start going numb, it' freaking heaven!
