The Martian Broadcasting Corporation (MBC), in a statement released earlier this evening, declared rumors of an alien landing to be false. "There was no alien landing today." MBC officials declared. "There are no little white men coming from another planet to take over our world and alter the climate to better suit themselves." "The craft which crashed in the desert was, in fact, a high altitude weather balloon." MBC officials further encouraged martians everywhere to go about their daily lives, to produce and consume as they have always done. "Martians need to believe that their government is looking out for their best interests. High altitude weather research of this nature is essential to better understand the workings of our planet so that your government can better prepare for the future."
