I double and triple checked, but there doesn't seem to be a "4th class" or "3rd class" option for entering routes into the routes database. This would be a nice option to have.

This is a climbing site, not a hiking site. How much 3rd or 4th class stuff is in a climbing guidebook, other that referenced in an approach to a 5th class climb.

I recently added a route, The North Gully, that is in the The Climber's Guide to Squamish as F (alpine grade facile), since 4th class wasn't an option. I also added an ascent which then fubared the top trad ascents portion of the website. Polarwid had to change the grade to 5.3, so that the top ascents would be ok again. It would be a little misleading if the North Gully was listed as 5.3, since it is not that hard. Also, since this site also includes mountaineering, it would be useful to have a 4th class category. A lot of great routes are only 4th class. Also, a lot of mountaineering doesn't follow the F,PD,AD, etc. grades.

I know 5.13 climbers who would soil their pants climbing unroped on some 3rd or 4th class routes. Though these sub-5 ratings are usually reserved for downclimbs or approaches in climbing guides, 3rd and 4th class climbs can be frightening and/or classic routes. I also would like to see the grading scale go down to these ratings on RC.com.
