Never heard of that problem, but I'd assume the rock is granite :)

It's on volcanic rock - basalt I think. Sharper than all hell. It's near Big Chief or some such named sport crag. V12 as far as rumor goes, too hard for me. To the right of it is a fun V3-ish jobber and to the left of it is a damned hard dyno - maybe V8 or something.
