ok first if you plan on taking this up as a part of yer routines, invest on shoes and a harness. if you plan to go into bouldering then i suggest you also get a crash pad

Ok in simple terms(ones I understand best) TR is where the rope is anchored in at the top of a climb. Lead climbing on the other hand is where you clip the rope thru quickdraws(2 carabiners connected w/ webbing) and sort of clip the rope into the wall as you go. There are other forms of leading, but this is easiest for me to explain. hope it helps

just remember if u were raised on plastic and can breeze trough a 5.10 in the gym, u can expect to have some trouble on one ure first times on real rock, so keep it easy for a while
